2010 David Frost Shiraz - $7

A dark, inky nose to match a dark, leathery taste with an ever so slightly tannic finish. Not your typical Shiraz, but tasty nonetheless.

thumbs up - 83

The show is on wine tasting, very, very interesting.
BTW thanks for this blog, I base my TJ wine buys on your opinion.

  2. I picked up a bottle of this because I love South African reds, particularly Shiraz. WOW, what an incredible wine, especially for the price. Leather, tobacco, and cigar-box nose, with tons of blackberry and cassis on the palate. Very soft tannins, and the wine held up perfectly over two days with nothing but a cork. I'm sure it could last even longer, but it won't get a chance. I'll be stocking up on this one soon!
