2010 Spiral Wines Cabernet Sauvignon - $6

Deep dark purple color. Perfumey nose. Dark fruit flavors, but ultimately tastes cheap. Little nip of tannic bite at the end.

All that, and $1 more than last year's batch? No thank you.

2009 Spiral Wines Cabernet Sauvignon - $5

Actual quote from my hawaiian-clad Trader Joe's cashier last night:
"This is the best wine under five bucks that we sell... not that I've tried all of them."
I'm inclined to agree. Right now, this is exactly the kind of wine you expect from Trader Joe's. Drinks great right after opening. Very approachable with tastes of cola and berry. I'm buying a case.

✉ 2006 Trader Joe's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon - $9.99

I am at a dinner party right now, emailing in a blog post, telling you
to go get this bottle of wine. Heck, get two. You won't be sorry.

2006 Stonehedge Cabernet Sauvignon - $5.99

Though I didn't get a chance to give this California Cab the full rundown, it was delicious and maybe a bit too easily drinkable with the pot roast we had for dinner. Definitely going to pick up another bottle of this next time I'm at Trader Joe's.
