2007 J.W. Morris Gewürztraminer - $3.99

For some reason, prior to drinking this cheapo Gewürzt, I thought the label contained the adjective "dry." Once the wine hit my mouth, I learned otherwise. Much too sweet for my enjoyment.

thumbs down - 71

  1. I really like this one, but I'm a big fan of dessert wines.

  2. Trader Joe's is no longer carrying J.W. Morris wines!
I heard that 7-11 would have them, but I haven't found them there.
Where can I find them in Los Angeles? Silver Lake/ Los Feliz area?
    HELP!

  5. I really, really liked this slightly sweet Gewurz, contrary to the reviewer's take on it.

It breaks my heart that I can no longer find it at Trader Joe's -- though I still see JW Morris Reisling, also delicious though dry.

  7. I love this wine, but know that it is very sweet. Very good slightly chilled. Great to sit on the patio with in the summer at the end of the day.
Still finding it at trader Joe's.

  8. I just bought two bottles of this at Trader Joe's in Cary, NC yesterday - was looking for a replacement (a cheaper one) for my regular riesling - this is an excellent substitute for a daily glass of wine - I hope it's something TJ's will be stocking in the future

  10. We have purchased several bottles and cases of JW Morris Gerwutz, prior to recently and not 2011, so we went back and bought what they had and then had to wait until they got more in stock.
It was actually good and real good for the price prior to 2011 date. The last we bought tastes like bad grapefruit juice, not even tastes a little like wine and is horrible, we can't even drink it. Not even close to previous wine, and should not even be put out for sale.
What a big waste of money that was, at $3.99 a bottle.
