Muddy copper color. Heavy on the fruit flavors without getting overly sweet. Flavors do get a bit muddled and unappealing, which detracts from what would otherwise be a decent rosé.
John, thanks for catching that - I've fixed the vintage. After the initial tasting, I set this in an ice bath to see if the flavors tightened up a bit when chilled and the labels fell right off - hence the rippling on the label in the picture.
Farmer Jo, I'm one for three so far - my thumbs up pick will be posted Monday.
I have enjoyed Parallele 45 enough to buy it more than once. I find the pale salmon color lovely, and the flavor understated, with pleasant mineral notes. It's a thumbs up in my book.
You list this as NV but the label on the neck seems to have 2007.
ReplyDeleteThe red Parallele 45 is pretty decent, but this just goes to show how hard it is to make a good rose.
Thanks for the review! Have you found ANY decent roses?
