2009 Trader Joe's Reserve Syrah - $10

Great ruby color. Pleasant nose with dark berry tones. Dark flavors for a Syrah: toffee, leathery, hint of plum.

    I give this wine (along with the Growers Reserve Organic Syrah) a very low rating. No unique aroma and lacking the expected berrylike character, not well balanced or soft finish.
