2007 Cellier du Rhône Côtes du Rhône white - $5.99

This wine hits a bit sweet on the palette right after being opened, but by day two it's dried up a bit. Strange. Hints of spearmint on the nose. Some green apple flavor hiding here. A passable wine, but nothing mind blowing.

thumbs down - 72

  1. Oh well. It's one of the few whites I've found there that is unoffensive, that's why I've gone back for it a few times. What does it need for thumbs up; 75?

  2. No score in particular - I like to give the thumbs up or thumbs down based on whether I'd go back and buy it again. I like my whites dry, and this was a bit too sweet for me to go back to.

  3. I was suckered into buying it at TJ's yesterday, I think (must compare label to make sure). Will compare to your review when I do!

  5. I've liked the red. Looking forward to hearing what you think.

Oh, there's a wine at TJ's called Shannon something. Awful awful awful. Poured it down the drain. Beware!

  6. I finally got my review up -- I agree with you. It's okay, but nothing to write home about. Some kiwi and vanilla for me that just didn't combine that well with the minerality. I quoted your review also, just so you know!
